Project Agya | India’s No.1 Defence Careers & Awareness NGO
Description: <!– google_ad_section_start –> Project Agya is a Non-Governmental Organization founded on 18th May 2010. Associated with RitSan Technologies (an Indian based tech firm), it focuses on increasing awareness about the Indian Armed Forces and the procedures for applying to its various divisions. It conveys all this information along with the latest news and updates about the Armed Forces through its self-titled website. (no html!)
History
The Project Agya initiative was started because of the surprisingly indifferent attitude of the modern day Youth towards the military. By spreading awareness about this field, Project Agya aims to stimulate the minds of the youth and create a seed of interest in them. (no html!)
Upon the arrival of the IT sector in India, pay-packages have gone up, houses have become bigger, cars have become swankier, and people have begun to live more luxurious lives. However, the downside is that the abundant perks available have caused the youth to be solely focused on the private sector whilst forgetting their responsibility towards the nation. And the main victim of this change in mind-set is the Armed Forces. The harsh life that the Jawans lead and their isolation from the world alienated the youth towards the military. The honour and prestige associated with the job just wasn’t enough.
Objectives of Project Agya:
1.India has some of the brightest minds in the world. Unfortunately, they are employed to the private sector. The primary aim of Project Agya is to create awareness about the military and its various career prospects. The numerous perks associated with the job should entice the youth to apply.
2.The modern day youth is strong, confident, meticulous, and performs. India needs these people running the country. Project Agya wants to shift the focus of the people towards the administrative affairs of the state.
3.Due to the increased competition at the workplace, people have begun to think and act only for themselves. The kindly attitude and caring nature of the people have been replaced by a burning desire to perform and get ahead. This way of thinking has caused the crime rate in cities to shoot up, and moral digresses to become a commonplace. Project Agya looks to rekindle the softer side of people who act by a code of ethics rather than on selfish gain.
4.Project Agya also aims at creating a sense of pride and respect in the minds of the people about the personnel of the Armed Forces. It highlights the sacrifices, devotion, dedication, and selfless services of the Jawans towards the nation.
Project Agya is making a unique and commendable attempt to bring women into the field. On their website, an entire section is devoted to the careers of women in the Armed Forces and their achievements, along with updates and information on the latest entrance exams.
