On Saturday June 6th from 5-9pm we are going to have a cookout at my house and play some lazer tag. The cost is $7 per game for lazer tag and the food is free. I will be grill'n the foodies! I suggest you plan for at least two games. Most of you will be a sweaty mess after one game. ; )

Mike is gonna meet you at CBC and take you guys with the CBC van to my house and also to Shadowlands. This is a great event to invite some friends and have a blast.we will be taking pics of the teams and the day. Any question please call me cell 703.624.0340 -

NXDEM Youth - Reflections

To my Guys, Gals & Pals,

I've always been horrible at posting pictures immediately on the blog, facebook, and any other place. Many of you have mentioned that you wanted to see pics from camps or other youth activities, and I somehow kept forgetting to get around to it. Well, here you go! :) Here are 1,000 photos, taken over the last few years, while living life with you guys.

In fall of 2005, I had the opportunity to begin helping in the youth ministry at Capital Baptist Church as a volunteer. In 2007, God changed my perspective and wanted me to make a bigger commitment than just on a volunteer basis. When I accepted the youth director position in October 2007, and started pursuing my master’s degree in biblical studies, I had no idea what the next two years would look like. But look where we are now! God's done some shaking and moving among us, and has led more than a few of us in directions we never thought we'd be heading. Many of the teens have graduated and are busy somewhere at college, some of you all are finally about to graduate, and have no clue whether you want to go to college or what you would major in, and then there's some of you who are brand new to the youth ministry and are trying to find your niche in it all. I sure know what that’s like.

This past March I finished my masters as planned. Thank you Jesus! I was already praying last September about what God wanted me to do next; and He’s shown me through various ways that this phase at Capital Baptist is complete. As you also know, I am getting married this June 20. (Shocker, huh?!) Together with Abby, I will continue pursuing my calling in youth ministry. I've been blessed to see how God has used me and I am eager to see what God still has in store for ALL of us.

I love you guys and will truly miss you!

Chuck-Bob
